**The awakening moment** (Reading time: 45 seconds)In today’s world, it is very easy to “immerse” oneself into the pleasures of dunya that you literally end up “forgetting yourself”. The hours of internet we spend, the movies we watch, work we do.. all can be exceptionally distracting from our true purpose in life. But there are moments, when you’re in the midst of immersing yourself into dunya… then out of nowhere, a thought crosses your mind that reminds you of Allah, or the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him), or Day of Judgement, and at that moment you literally wake up and suddenly you’re more “aware” of your creator and purpose of life.I call this moment, the awakening moment. And we really need to make most of such moments and exercise our hearts and souls to experience it more often. The reason these moments are so important to a ProductiveMuslim/Muslimah, is that they relate to an important concept that is the basis of all the work we do as Muslims _Sincerity_.In order to have true sincerity in everything we do, we need to be at that level of awareness at all times. This will result in our productivity being rewarded and blessed by Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala).Sincerity is not a passing thought, or an action of the tongue/heart that you do before a task. It’s a consistent self-reminder that you’re doing this action for the sake of Allah only and nothing else.Let us all ‘wake up’ and wake each other up to lead truly sincere productive lives inshaAllah.-Abu Productive

**The awakening moment** (Reading time: 45 seconds)

In today’s world, it is very easy to “immerse” oneself into the pleasures of dunya that you literally end up “forgetting yourself”. The hours of internet we spend, the movies we watch, work we do.. all can be exceptionally distracting from our true purpose in life.

But there are moments, when you’re in the midst of immersing yourself into dunya… then out of nowhere, a thought crosses your mind that reminds you of Allah, or the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him), or Day of Judgement, and at that moment you literally wake up and suddenly you’re more “aware” of your creator and purpose of life.

I call this moment, the awakening moment. And we really need to make most of such moments and exercise our hearts and souls to experience it more often.

The reason these moments are so important to a ProductiveMuslim/Muslimah, is that they relate to an important concept that is the basis of all the work we do as Muslims _Sincerity_.

In order to have true sincerity in everything we do, we need to be at that level of awareness at all times. This will result in our productivity being rewarded and blessed by Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala).

Sincerity is not a passing thought, or an action of the tongue/heart that you do before a task. It’s a consistent self-reminder that you’re doing this action for the sake of Allah only and nothing else.

Let us all ‘wake up’ and wake each other up to lead truly sincere productive lives inshaAllah.
